Suri's mother, the late Heena Suri, was the youngest sister of the filmmakers Mukesh and Mahesh Bhatt. She died of a heart attack at the age of 37, while Suri was only 8 years old.

In an interview, Suri revealed that he was never close to his father. He added that his father would only care about Suri's sister, Smiley, and would not have time for him.
Suri began very early, at the age of 16. His first task was to go to the T series of offices, pick up taps and bring them back, commissioned by his mother Mahesh Bhatt's uncle.
Soon he began to assist the director Vikram Bhatt in his film projects. The pair composed up to eight movies together.

He fell in love with the actress Udita Goswami while filming his Zeher 2005 movie, in which Goswami played the female lead.
However, the couple separated from the actress who went to the United States to follow a comedy class. However, the couple returned to strength and finally linked the tone in 2013.
Interestingly, all the films made by Suri have a score composed by the musician Raju Singh. Although he has directed several films from Bollywood, he is best known for his works in Murder 2 2011 and Aashiqui 2 2013.
